On the morning of July 15, China (Shantou) - Singapore Economic and Trade Cooperation Conference was held at the Shangri-La Hotel in Singapore. More than 180 people attendees included the Shantou Economic and Trade Delegation, the Singaporean Overseas Chinese Delegation, as well as the representatives of industry associations and business from the two places.
At the Conference, keynote speeches were given for promoting Shantou's textiles and clothing industry, toy creative industry, next-generation electronic information industry, and big health industry, showcasing Shantou's economic potential and industry development prospects in a comprehensive manner. At the same time, 11 cooperation projects were signed, covering cross-border communication, cloud computing, textile and clothing, toys, information technology and other cooperation as well as trade procurement, with a contract value of RMB 2.8 billion.
Singapore Teochew Poit Ip Huay Kuan, the co-organizer of the event, signed an economic and trade cooperation agreement with Shantou Municipal Bureau of Commerce; and Singapore Manufacturing Federation signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Shantou Electronic Information and Software Industry Association, which would further deepen the economic and trade ties and understanding between Shantou and Singapore, and promote Shantou enterprises to develop the market in Southeast Asia, giving impetus to the better and faster development of the industries of "three new, two features, one big" ("three new" means new energy, new materials and new-generation electronic information industries; "two features" means two traditional industries with distinctive local features, namely, textile and clothing and creative toys; "one big" means big health industry).

中国（汕头）—新加坡经贸合作交流会在新举行
7月15日上午，中国（汕头）—新加坡经贸合作交流会在新加坡香格里拉酒店举行。汕头经贸代表团与新加坡侨团及两地行业协会、企业代表等180多人参加活动。
交流会上，汕头纺织服装产业、玩具创意产业、新一代电子信息产业和大健康产业作主题推介演讲，全面展示汕头经济潜力和行业发展前景。同时签约合作项目11项，涵盖跨境通信、云计算、纺织服装、玩具、信息技术等合作及贸易采购，签约金额28亿元。
本次活动协办方——新加坡潮州八邑会馆与汕头市商务局签订经贸合作协议，新加坡制造商总会也与汕头市电子信息和软件行业协会签订战略合作协议，将进一步加深汕头与新加坡两地的经贸联系和了解，推动汕头企业深耕东南亚市场，促进“三新两特一大”产业更好更快发展。
