Shantou Port Accelerates Integration into the Construction of the Belt and Road

On October 17, at the berth of the Phase I terminal in the Guang'ao Port Area of Shantou Port, two freighters, the "Jiechun" and the "Xiangchun", docked at the port. Among them, the "Jiechun" was a freighter on the Thai-Vietnam route, and the "Xiangchun" was a freighter on the Indonesian route. After having been loaded with cargo, these two giant freighters set sail to the ports of the Belt and Road participating countries in Southeast Asia.
The Thai-Vietnam route and the Indonesian route are the Belt and Road routes newly opened by the Guang'ao Port Area this year. Currently, the Guang'ao Port Area has opened and operated 15 Belt and Road routes. The successful opening of the direct Thai-Vietnam route has achieved full coverage of major Southeast Asian ports by the foreign trade route network of the Guang'ao Port Area. It provides services for directly exporting goods at the "doorstep" in Chaoshan region to Southeast Asian countries. In addition, it not only shortens the transportation time of goods in transit for 4 - 6 days, but also reduces comprehensive logistics costs.

汕头港加速融入“一带一路”建设
10月17日，在汕头港广澳港区一期码头的泊位上，“结春号”和“翔春号”两艘货轮停泊靠港，其中“结春号”是泰越航线的货轮，“翔春号”是印尼航线的货轮。这两艘巨轮装载货物后，启航前往东南亚“一带一路”共建国家的港口。
泰越航线、印尼航线是广澳港区今年新开通的“一带一路”航线，目前广澳港区开通运营的“一带一路”航线已达15条。泰越直航航线的成功开通，实现了广澳港区外贸航线网络在东南亚主要港口的全覆盖，为潮汕地区出口货物从“家门口”直航东南亚国家提供服务，不仅能缩短货物在途4至6天的运输时间，还能降低综合物流成本。
