On the afternoon of March 16, the 2024 Big Health Industry Development Forum, which was guided by Shantou Municipal Special Work Team for Big Health Industry Cluster Development and organized by Shantou Big Health Industry Association, was held at Longhu Hotel. More than 200 leaders and experts from top domestic health enterprises, as well as representatives from Shantou’s health industry related enterprises, participated in the event.
A number of project cooperation signing ceremonies, project commencement and production launch ceremonies were held in this high-level forum, as well as keynote speeches, which provide learning opportunities for participants and helps to build a bridge for communication between the academia and industry, and jointly promote the innovative development of the biomedical industry. Up to now,there are thousands of big health industry enterprises in Shantou, with an industrial scale exceeding RMB 30 billion.Next, Shantou City will focus on implementing the program integrating with five aspects (including strengthening organization and leadership, strengthening areas of weakness, putting the action and work against the requirements set by the CPC Shantou Municipal Committee and Shantou Municipal People’s Government, establishing working methods and procedures, and making concerted efforts), and try to upgradethe scale of industrial clusters to RMB 50 billion.Relying on the resources provided by Shantou University, Guangdong Technion - Israel Institution of Technology and Guangdong Provincial Laboratory of Chemistry and Fine Chemicals, Shantou City will constantly innovate and develop the whole industrial chain of the big health industry and make the brand of the big health industry well-known.

汕头举办2024年大健康产业发展高峰论坛
3月16日下午，由市大健康产业集群发展工作专班指导、市大健康产业协会主办的2024年汕头市大健康产业发展高峰论坛在龙湖宾馆举行，国内顶尖大健康企业负责人、专家及汕头大健康产业相关企业代表200余人参加活动。
本次高峰论坛举行了一批项目合作签约仪式和项目开工投产启动仪式，还进行了主旨演讲，为参会者提供学习机会，架起学术界与产业界沟通的桥梁，共同推动生物医药产业的创新发展。目前，汕头全市有上千家大健康产业企业，产业规模超300亿元。接下来，我市将重点实施“五个一”工程，将产业集群规模升级到500亿元，并依托汕头大学、广东以色列理工学院、化学与精细化工广东省实验室等资源，不断创新发展大健康全产业链，打响大健康产业品牌。
