The Shantou’s and Taiwan’s Specialty Products Experience Week, sponsored by the Shantou Municipal Bureau of Taiwan Affairs and the United Front Work Department of the CPC Jinping District Committee, was officially opened in the Shantou-Taiwan (Yunlin) Exhibition Hall on May 25.
During the week-long event, the focus of the exhibition and sales would be the specialty products from Tainan City, Yunlin County, and Kinmen County in Taiwan, as well as Taiwan's featured agricultural products from the Taiwan Farmers’ Park in Chaonan District, Shantou City, so that the people in Shantou City can experience Taiwan's characteristic local customs, for the purpose of promoting in-depth communication and exchanges between Shantou and Taiwan in the agricultural industry. In addition, a symposium on the exhibition, sales and promotion of Shantou’s and Taiwan’s specialty products was organized and held, for the purpose of promoting agricultural exchanges between Shantou and Taiwan, facilitating matchmaking for the cooperation between the supplying and purchasing parties of agricultural products, and discussing the exchanges and cooperation between Shantou and Taiwan in the areas of the transshipment and distribution of Taiwan's agricultural products, the fostering of agricultural product processing industries, young Taiwanese farmers’ business start-up in Shantou, and the development of recreational agriculture.

汕台特色产品体验周启幕
5月25日，由汕头市台湾事务局、金平区委统战部主办，汕头工业设计城承办的汕台特色产品体验周活动在汕头台湾（云林）展馆正式启幕。
为期一周的活动将集中展销台湾台南市、云林县、金门县等特色产品，以及我市潮南区台湾农民创业园特色台湾农产品，让汕头市民群众体验台湾特色风土人情，促进汕台农业产业深度交流交往。活动还组织召开汕台特色产品展销推广座谈会，为推动汕台农业交流、农产品供需双方合作等牵线搭桥，探讨汕台两地在台湾农产品中转集散、农产品加工产业培育、青年台农来汕创业、休闲农业发展等方面的交流与合作。
