Shantou is Included in the List of Cities Building the National Backbone Cold-chain Logistics Bases

Recently, the National Development and Reform Commission of the People's Republic of China released the list of cities building the national backbone cold-chain logistics bases for 2024, and Shantou City was successfully included in the list and became one of the two cities in Guangdong Province to build the national backbone cold-chain logistics bases this time.
Shantou National Backbone Cold-chain Logistics Base covers a total area of 812 mu [54.1 hectares] and is divided into two zones: The first is the Haojiang Cold Chain Logistics Ecosystem Industrial Park, covering an area of 734 mu [48.9 hectares]. Its main functions include the refrigeration, freezing, cold-chain logistics, trading and deep processing of fresh agricultural and aquatic products, as well as providing cold-chain cloud warehousing, settlement, finance and other services. The second is the Shantou Smart Cold-chain Logistics and Trade Center, covering an area of 78 mu [5.2 hectares]. It mainly provides storage, preservation, and logistics services for poultry, livestock, meat, aquatic products, fruits and vegetables, and has functions such as the processing of fresh agricultural products and food. The Base will be built into an agricultural product supply chain organization center in the Shantou-Chaozhou-Jieyang metropolitan area, a cold-chain distribution center for the regional consumption center cities in eastern Guangdong, a cold-chain logistics industry organization service platform for the eastern wing of the coastal economic belt, and a cold-chain logistics portal hub for the Belt and Road World Connection through Overseas Chinese.

汕头入选国家骨干冷链物流基地建设名单
近日，国家发展改革委发布2024年国家骨干冷链物流基地建设名单，我市成功入选，为本次广东省2个入选国家骨干冷链物流基地之一。
汕头国家骨干冷链物流基地总占地面积812亩，分为两个片区：一是濠江冷链物流生态圈产业园，占地734亩，主要功能为生鲜农水产品的冷藏、冷冻、冷链物流、交易、精深加工等，同时提供冷链云仓、结算、金融等服务；二是汕头市智慧冷链物流商贸中心，占地78亩，主要为禽畜肉类、水产品、果蔬等提供存储保鲜和物流服务，具备生鲜农产品、食品加工等功能。基地将打造为汕潮揭都市圈农产品供应链组织中心、粤东区域性消费中心城市冷链流通中心、沿海经济带东翼冷链物流产业组织服务平台、“一带一路”侨联世界冷链物流门户枢纽。
