On September 17, the Phase III Project of Shantou Port’s Guang'ao Port Area held its commencement ceremony.
As the only core port area and public logistics hub port area in the eastern Guangdong port cluster, Guang'ao Port Area is the key to the construction and development of Shantou Port. The Phase III Project of Shantou Port’s Guang'ao Port Area involves a planned investment of 11.4 billion yuan. The Project will include the construction of three specialized container berths, four general berths, and three berths dedicated to wind power, along with the land reclamation project linking the Shantou Station of the Guangzhou-Meizhou-Shantou Railway to the Guang'ao Station Yard of the Shantou Port's Guang'ao Port Area Railway. Once completed, it will significantly enhance Shantou Port’s handling capacity and comprehensive service functions, providing strong support for Shantou to develop a port economic zone and to contribute to the creation of a world-class port cluster in Guang'ao Port.

汕头港广澳港区三期工程开工建设
9月17日，汕头港广澳港区三期工程举行开工活动。
作为粤东港口群唯一的核心港区和公共物流枢纽港区，广澳港区是汕头港建设与发展的关键所在。广澳港区三期工程计划总投资114亿元，新建3个专业化集装箱泊位、4个通用泊位和3个风电专用泊位，并同步推进广梅汕铁路汕头站至汕头广澳港区铁路广澳站场陆域形成工程，将极大提升汕头港的吞吐能力和综合服务功能，是汕头打造临港经济区、助力粤港澳世界级港口群建设的重要支撑。
