On October 23, the opening ceremony of the 24th Shantou Chenghai International Toy and Gift Fair was held at the Shantou International Convention and Exhibition Center.
Wen Zhanbin, Secretary of the CPC Shantou Municipal Committee, said in his speech that Shantou would foster the advantages of clusters, and accelerate the construction of "Five Major Projects" for the toy and creative industries; seize the opportunities of technological transformation to build an innovative ecosystem that deeply integrates AI technology with the toy industry; and open up new arenas for development, expand into domains and scenarios such as trendy toys, IP-based toys, educational toys, and the low-altitude economy, and continuously solidify its position as China's "Toy and Gift Capital".
At the opening ceremony, Li Wenfeng, Vice President of the China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Light Industrial Products and Arts-Crafts; Yang Fan, Chairman of the China Gift & Leisure Products Association; and Huang Yixian, President of the Shantou Chenghai District Toy Association, delivered speeches on behalf of the event organizers. Shantou City promoted its "Five Major Projects" for the toy and creative industries. The Shantou Chenghai District Toy Association signed strategic cooperation agreements with the China Gift & Leisure Products Association, the Light Industry Procurement Branch of the China Association for Promoting UN Procurement, and the Innovation Design Branch of the China Arts and Crafts Association. In addition, toy and creative industry suppliers signed letters of intent with domestic and international buyers, totaling an on-site contracting value of RMB 15.8 billion.

第24届汕头·澄海国际玩具礼品博览会开幕
10月23日，第24届汕头·澄海国际玩具礼品博览会开幕式在汕头国际会展中心举行。
市委书记温湛滨在致辞中表示，汕头将厚植集群优势，加快推动玩具创意产业“五大项目”建设；抢抓技术变革，构建AI技术与玩具产业深度融合的创新生态；开辟发展赛道，拓展潮流玩具、IP玩具、科教玩具、低空经济等场景领域，持续夯实“玩具之都”引领地位。
开幕式上，中国轻工工艺品进出口商会副会长李文锋、中国礼仪休闲用品工业协会理事长杨帆和汕头市澄海区玩具协会会长黄逸贤分别代表活动主办单位致辞，我市宣传推介了玩具创意产业“五大项目”，玩具协会与中国礼仪休闲用品工业协会、中国联合国采购促进会轻工采购分会、中国工艺美术协会创新设计分会签订战略合作协议，玩具创意产业供应商与国内外采购商代表签订意向合作协议、现场签约金额达158亿元。
