On December 4, the 22nd World Wind Energy Conference (WWEC) and the 3rd Swatow International Wind Power Technology Innovation Conference opened at the Shantou International Convention and Exhibition Center. This is the third time that the WWEC has been held in China, after previous sessions in Beijing and Shanghai. Focusing on cutting-edge wind power technologies, industrial chain collaboration, and international exchange and cooperation, the two conferences this time seek to build international consensus and establish a high-level international platform for industry–academia–research exchanges, advancing global wind power collaboration to a new stage.
The two conferences this time released the Shantou Declaration on Global Wind Energy Cooperation, the Global Offshore Wind Power Industry Chain Development Report 2025, and the Shantou International Wind Power Innovation Hub: A Chinese Practice of a World-Class Industrial Cluster. It also held ceremonies for the launch of the "Comprehensive Service Hub for Chinese Wind Power Industry Going Global" and the establishment of the "World Wind Energy Academy." Concurrently, the two conferences this time hosted eight thematic academic forums, directly addressing the most cutting-edge technological innovations in the wind power industry.

第二十二届世界风能大会暨第三届汕头国际风电技术创新大会在汕开幕
12月4日，第二十二届世界风能大会暨第三届汕头国际风电技术创新大会在汕头国际会展中心开幕。这是世界风能大会继北京、上海后，第三次在中国召开。本次大会围绕风电前沿技术、产业链协同、国际交流合作等维度，凝聚国际共识，打造高规格、国际化的产学研交流平台，促进全球风电合作迈入新阶段。
大会发布《全球风能合作汕头宣言》《全球海上风电产业链发展报告2025》《汕头国际风电创新港，一个世界级产业集群的中国实践》，举行“中国风电产业出海综合服务港”启动、“世界风能学院”成立等仪式。大会同期举办8场专题学术论坛，直击风电产业最前沿技术创新。
