Shantou's First High-Performance Separation Membrane Innovation Consortium Is Established

On the afternoon of January 8, the inaugural conference of the Shantou High-Performance Separation Membrane Innovation Consortium and the Policy Release Conference of the Innovation Consortium were held at the Shantou Free Trade Zone.
The Innovation Consortium is led by Guangdong Ospura Co., Ltd. and jointly established in collaboration with Shantou University, the Guangdong Provincial Laboratory of Chemistry and Fine Chemical Engineering, Wave Cyber (Shanghai) Co., Ltd., and Shanghai Kunsai Technology Development Co., Ltd. The Innovation Consortium will focus on tackling the global industrial challenge of the resource utilization of concentrated brine, a by-product of seawater desalination. It will concentrate on the R&D of key common technologies in the high-performance separation membrane sector and the transfer and commercial application of the research results, providing strong support for Shantou’s ambition to become a hub for marine science and technology innovation.
At the conference, the organizer interpreted the policies of the Innovation Consortium through video and hired Professor Huang Xiaochun, Dean of the College of Chemistry & Chemical Engineering and Director of the Research Office at Shantou University, and Deputy Director of the Guangdong Provincial Laboratory of Chemistry and Fine Chemical Engineering, as the Director of the Technical Committee of the Shantou High-Performance Separation Membrane Innovation Consortium to lead the research and development.

汕头首家高性能分离膜创新联合体成立
1月8日下午，汕头市高性能分离膜创新联合体成立大会暨创新联合体政策发布会在汕头综合保税区举办。
该联合体由广东奥斯博膜材料技术有限公司牵头，联合汕头大学、化学与精细化工广东省实验室、上海唯赛勃新材料股份有限公司、上海鲲赛科技发展有限公司共同组建。联合体重点攻克海水淡化副产浓盐水资源化利用这一世界性产业难题，聚焦高性能分离膜领域的关键共性技术研发与成果转移转化，为我市打造海洋科技创新高地提供有力支撑。
会上，主办方通过视频进行创新联合体政策解读，并聘请汕头大学化学化工学院院长、科研处处长，化学与精细化工广东省实验室副主任黄晓春教授担任汕头市高性能分离膜创新联合体技术委员会主任，领衔攻关。
