On the morning of December 27, Shantou held the Inauguration Ceremony for Minmetals East Guangdong Logistics New Town Exhibition Center and the Cooperation Agreement Signing Ceremony for Investment Promotion Projects, marking that Shantou has achieved results at the current stage in terms of cooperation with China Minmetals Corporation, one of Top 500 enterprises in the world.

The Minmetals East Guangdong Logistics New Town is located in Longhu District and covers an area of 86,000 square kilometers. Now, there are more than 10 enterprises having reached cooperation intention with Minmetals Corporation. The first batch of enterprises entering into the Projects are the leaders in the domestic logistics industry and the related industries, including China Southern Airlines Group, Suning Appliance, Alibaba, Microsoft Cloud Computer Center, COSCO, Shenghui Logistics, Supply Chain Management Association, and Shantou Association of Logistics Industry, etc.

　　12月27日上午，我市举行五矿粤东物流新城展示中心落成暨招商引资项目合作协议签署仪式，标志着汕头与世界500强企业之一的中国五矿集团公司合作取得阶段性成果。
　　五矿粤东物流新城位于龙湖区，总占地8.6平方公里。目前已有十余家企业与五矿集团达成合作意向，首批入驻项目均为国内物流及相关行业的佼佼者。包括中国南航集团、苏宁电器、阿里巴巴、微软云计算中心、中远物流、盛辉物流、美国供应链管理专业协会、汕头市物流行业协会等。
