On the afternoon of December 26, Shantou City held the signing ceremony of the strategic cooperation of bank group for Shantou Bay Tunnel Project. The bank syndication composed of 7 banks including the Bank of Communications Shantou Branch would jointly provide RMB 6.5 billion of syndicated loan for Shantou Bay Tunnel Project. This is by far the largest syndicated loan for people＇s wellbeing project in Shantou City.

Shantou Bay Tunnel is the major infrastructure traffic engineering of CITIC Binhai New City Project jointly built by Shantou Municipal Government and CITIC Group with the mode of PPP. The total length of the Tunnel is about 6.68 kilometers and the total investment is about RMB 6 billion. It is one of the longest shield-type cross-harbor tunnels in China. It is planned to be completed and put into operation by 2020.

　　12月26日下午，我市举行汕头海湾隧道银团战略合作签约仪式，由交通银行汕头分行等七家银行组成的银团共同为海湾隧道项目提供65亿元银团贷款。这是迄今为止我市规模最大的民生工程银团贷款。
　　海湾隧道是市政府与中信集团以PPP模式联袂打造的中信滨海新城项目的重大基础设施交通工程。隧道全长约6．68公里，总投资近60亿元，是国内最长的盾构式过海隧道之一，计划2020年建成运营。
