This national AAAA tourist resort includes a resort hotel and a golf course. CITIC Resort Hotel mostly consists of European style villas on the 9-km Longhu Beach (Dragon and Tiger Beach) in the southwest of Shantou City. Various entertainments are offered regularly on the sea. On major holidays, such events as traditional Shao Ta (Burning the Pagoda) and sand sculpture contests are organized. The CITIC Golf Course is a 27-hole international standard golf course of 7,187 yards long and with typical subtropical scenery. Eagle grass is imported from the United States for the green and many national contests are successfully held here.
