In order to create a strong festive atmosphere and make the Shantou New Spring Network Carnival, our city launched the event of "clocking in" at the Old Small Park, a popular place on the internet. The event attracted numerous citizens and tourists, making the Old Community become Shantou's hottest "popular place on the internet".
During the event, the organizers carefully selected a number of "clocking-in" points which are popular on the internet, covering history, culture, revolution, celebrities, architecture... such as Zhongshan Memorial Pavilion, Red Traffic Station, Tongwen School, Overseas Remittance Museum, Mazu Palace Stage, Cai Chusheng Film Museum, etc. Spring Fu Drum was newly set up at the Zhongshan Memorial Pavilion, which was surrounded by a love heart-projecting box, an "I love Shantou" large-scale photographic wall and other arrangements. According to different scenes, the planning and design unit had drawn a series of exquisite wall paintings and land paintings based on the theme of Chaozhou-Shantou culture, customs and humanities. Many citizens came here to “clock in” and participated in online activities through the network. The "Internet upsurge" of the Old Small Park has been warming up. The total reading of three Shantou-related topics created by Sina Weibo have exceeded 15 million times. A "Most Beautiful Official Announcement" video showing the beauty of the Old Small Park has been broadcast on platforms such as Xinhua News Agency Client, Sina Weibo and Netease News, and according to incomplete statistics, the reading has exceeded 3.3 million times.

小公园成春节汕头最热门“网红地”
为营造浓烈喜庆的节日氛围、打造汕头新春网络嘉年华，我市开展“网红”小公园“打卡”活动，吸引了无数市民与游客，使小公园成为汕头最热门的网红地。
此次活动，主办方精心挑选了一批网红“打卡”点，涵盖历史、文化、革命、名人、建筑……如中山纪念亭、红色交通站、同文学馆、侨批文物馆、老妈宫戏台、蔡楚生电影博物馆等。小公园亭新设置报春福鼓，周边有爱心投影箱、“我爱汕头”大型拍照墙等布置。策划设计单位根据不同场景结合潮汕文化、风俗人情等主题绘制了一批精美墙绘、地绘，众多市民游客前来“打卡”，并通过网络参与线上活动。小公园的“网络热潮”不断升温，新浪微博创建的3个汕头相关话题，总阅读量已超1500万，一部展现小公园美丽容颜的“最美官宣”视频在新华社客户端、新浪微博、网易新闻等平台播出，据不完全统计，阅读量已超过330万。
