On December 12, the five-day Shantou Culture Week activities kicked off in the Tio Chew Association in Bangkok, Thailand. A large number of overseas Chinese in Thailand went to watch cultural performances and experienced the charm of Chaoshan culture.

This Shantou Culture Week is aimed at implementing the “Belt and Road” initiative, carrying forward the outstanding traditional Chinese culture, promoting Sino-Thai cultural exchanges, and deepening the local friendship. Combining the presentation of intangible cultural heritage, Shantou tourism promotion, promotion of the 2021 Asian Youth Games with diversified artistic forms such as acrobatics, singing and dancing, short acts, dramas, etc., the activities set up a culture and friendship bridge for the Chao people overseas to "remember their nostalgia" and "find their family roots".

　　汕头文化周在泰国曼谷开幕

　　12月12日，为期5天的汕头文化周活动在泰国曼谷的潮州会馆内隆重开幕，大批泰国华人华侨到场观看文艺演出，感受潮汕文化魅力。

　　本次汕头文化周旨在落实“一带一路”倡议，弘扬中华优秀传统文化，促进中泰文化交流，敦睦乡情乡谊。活动以杂技、歌舞、小品、话剧等丰富多彩的艺术形式结合非遗文化展示、汕头旅游推介、2021年亚青会宣传等，为海外潮人“记住乡愁”、“找寻家根”架起文化友谊之桥。
