Recently, the State Intellectual Property Office officially approved the establishment of the China (Shantou) Intellectual Property Protection Center (hereinafter referred to as the "Center") with a view to carrying out rapid and coordinated protection of intellectual property rights for the chemical industry and the machinery and equipment manufacturing industry.This marks that Shantou has become the third city in Guangdong Province after Foshan and Shenzhen to obtain the approval to build an intellectual property protection center.

Acting locally and targeting east Guangdong, the Center will form a collaborative protection mechanism in the chemical industry and machinery and equipment manufacturing industry that integrates rapid review, rapid right authentication and rapid right protection, greatly shortening the transformation and protection period of enterprise innovation achievements.

In the next stage, the City will strengthen the construction of infrastructures and carry out targeted business training to ensure that personnel, funds, office space and equipment are in place in a timely manner, and ensure that the Center can be put into use as soon as possible.The Center is scheduled to be completed within 10 months before formally put into operation.

中国（汕头）知识产权保护中心获批建设

        近日，国家知识产权局正式批复同意建设中国（汕头）知识产权保护中心（以下简称“保护中心”），面向化工产业和机械装备制造产业开展知识产权快速协同保护工作。我市成为继佛山、深圳后省内第三个地市获批建设知识产权保护中心的城市。

        保护中心将立足汕头，辐射粤东地区，在化工产业和机械装备制造产业形成集快速审查、快速确权、快速维权于一体的协同保护机制，极大缩短企业创新成果的转化和维权周期。

        接下来，我市将加强基础条件建设，并开展针对性业务培训，保证人员、经费、办公场地和设备及时到位，确保保护中心尽快投入使用。保护中心预计10个月内完成建设工作并正式投入运行。
