Recently, the PPP project of the Utility Tunnel Engineeringdedicated to the Shantou Bay New Area on the east coast of the city, which has been built to serve the city for 100years, has resumed its work and is expected to complete the main body construction of the tunnel by the end of this year.

It is a 14.65 km tunnel project to be newly built in XinxiArea, whichconsists of the main body construction of the utility tunnel, fire-fighting system, sidewalk and overhaul channels, identification system, electrical system, automatic control system, monitoring center and other ancillary facilities.In order to meet100-year service life requirements, the project adopts the design scheme of "three compartments", namely, power supply compartment, communication and pipeline (water supply) compartment and gas pipeline compartment.In addition to drawing on the experience of underground utility tunnel construction in Shenzhen, Xiamen and other cities in south China, the project also uses the concrete technology ofHong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge for reference, and provides with triple waterproofing facilities both inside and outside with a view to prolonging the service life of concrete.

The construction of utility tunnel in the Shantou Bay New Area on the east coast of the city will not only provide a power supply channel for the 2021 Shantou Asian Youth Games to ensure the successful holding of the big event, but also will effectively avoid the impact and interference on traffic and residents' travel caused by frequent excavation of roads forunderground pipelines laying and maintenance, hencemaintaining the integrity and overall appearance of roads.

汕头东海岸新城综合管廊项目预计年底完成主体建设

        近日，我市按百年标准建设的东海岸新城综合管廊工程PPP项目已复工，预计今年年底完成管廊主体建设。

        该项目是在新溪片区新建管廊14.65公里，项目内容包括综合管廊主体工程建设及消防系统、人行和检修通道、标识系统、电气系统、自控系统、监控中心等附属设施。为了满足一百年使用要求，项目采用“三舱”设计方案，分为电力舱、通讯和管道（给水）舱以及燃气管线舱。项目除借鉴深圳、厦门等南方地区的地下综合管廊建设经验外，还借鉴港珠澳大桥的混凝土工艺，同时在内部和外部一共加了3道防水，以此提高混凝土的使用年限。

        东海岸新城综合管廊建设将为2021年亚青会提供供电通道，保障亚青会的顺利召开。同时，也可很好地避免由于敷设和维修地下管线频繁挖掘道路而对交通和居民出行造成影响和干扰，保持路容完整和美观。
