On the morning of March 8, People’s Government of Guangdong Province issued a written approval on recognizing Shantou Longhu Industrial Park as a provincial-level high-tech industrial development zone, and granted it such name as Shantou Longhu High-tech Industrial Development Zone which is subject to current policy of provincial-level high-tech industrial development zone.

Shantou Longhu High-tech Industrial Development Zone has a planned area of 245.49 hectares and is composed of Wanji, Longsheng and Zhujin. The planned area of Wanji Industrial Zone is 134.9534 hectares, Zhujin Industrial Zone of 52.6006 hectares and Longsheng Industrial Zone of 57.9360 hectares.

According to the written approval, Shantou Longhu High-tech Industrial Development Zone shall fully promote industrial transformation and upgrading, comprehensively enhance scientific and technological innovation abilities, strive to create a first-class industrial development ecology and innovative entrepreneurial ecology, and strive to become an innovation-driven development demonstration area, emerging industry cluster area, transformation and upgrading leading area, and leading high-quality development area.

汕头龙湖工业园区被认定为广东省级高新技术产业开发区

3月8日上午，广东省政府发布关于同意认定汕头龙湖工业园区为省级高新技术产业开发区的批复，定名为汕头龙湖高新技术产业开发区，实行现行的省级高新区政策。

汕头龙湖高新区规划面积为245.49公顷，由万吉、龙盛、珠津三个片区组成。万吉工业片区规划面积为134.9534公顷，珠津工业片区规划面积为52.6006公顷，龙盛工业片区规划面积为57.9360公顷。

批复要求，汕头龙湖高新区要全力推进产业转型升级，全面提升科技创新能力，着力打造一流的产业发展生态和创新创业生态，努力成为创新驱动发展示范区、新兴产业集聚区、转型升级引领区、高质量发展先行区。
