This year, the city plans to complete 61 key transportation projects with a total investment of 86.7 billion yuan.29 continuing projects and 32 newly-started projects are included with investments of 17.3 billion yuan to be made this year. In order to ensure that this year's target tasks are completed on schedule, in the recent stage, while the city is doing a good job in epidemic prevention and control, it is working at propelling the construction of various projects with great strength and catching up the process, injecting a strong momentum into the city's high-quality economic development.

At present, six major transportation key projects including Shantou-Shanwei Railway, Shantou-Zhanjiang Expressway, Chaoshan Ring Road, Gulf Tunnel, Niutianyang Expressway, and West Extension of Jinsha West Road had been carried out in an all-round way with multiple procedures on many working positions after work resumption in succession from February 10th, resumed to normal construction.

汕头今年建设重点交通项目61个，计划完成投资173亿

今年我市计划建设重点交通项目61个，总投资867亿元。其中，续建项目29个，新开工项目32个，今年计划完成投资173亿元。为确保如期完成今年目标任务，近阶段来，我市在做好疫情防控的同时，开足马力、抢抓进度，全力推进各个项目建设，为我市经济高质量发展注入强劲动力。
  目前，汕汕铁路、汕湛高速、潮汕环线、海湾隧道、牛田洋快速通道、金砂西路西延等6个重大交通重点项目在2月10日起相继复工后，多工点、多工序全面铺开建设，步入正轨。
