On March 24, Shantou International Marathon was upgraded and recognized as the emerging World Athletics "Bronze Label Event" as shown in the updated gold, silver and bronze label events calendar on the official website of the World Athletics, after it was awarded "Gold Medal Event" of Chinese Athletics Association last year, marking that Shantou International Marathon had stepped onto the international platform.

“汕马”升级为世界田径“铜标赛事”

  3月24日，世界田径官网的金银铜标赛事日历再次更新，汕头国际马拉松继去年荣获中国田径协会“金牌赛事”后，进一步提档升级，成为新晋的世界田径“铜标赛事”，意味着汕马从国内迈向国际“舞台”。
