On the morning of April 23, Duffy New Jersey, a foreign trade container liner, successfully docked at the 100,000-ton container terminal in the Shantou China Merchants Port Guang'ao Port Area Phase II. This was the first time the Guang'ao Port Phase II Container Terminal had greeted a foreign liner since its trial operation last year, and it witnessed the longest and largest tonnage container liner ever in the Guang'ao Port Area then.

The successful operation of foreign trade container liner business in Guang'ao Port Phase II Container Terminal is conducive to alleviating the pressure of the berth resources in the phase I, and further exerting its advantages of 100,000-ton container berths in the eastern Guangdong area to meet the needs of ship types and berths for the operation of main liners. Meanwhile, it also marks that there is a great increase in processing capacity of  the foreign trade container business in Guang'ao Port Area, and attracts more high-quality foreign trade liner routes to connect with Guang'ao Port Area.

汕头广澳港二期集装箱码头首迎外轮靠泊　

4月23日上午，外贸集装箱班轮“达飞新泽西”轮成功停靠汕头招商局港口广澳港区二期10万吨级集装箱码头。这是广澳二期码头自去年试运营以来首次靠泊外轮，也是广澳港区停靠的长度最长、吨级最大的集装箱班轮。

广澳二期码头外贸集装箱班轮的成功运营，有利于缓解一期泊位资源紧张的压力，进一步发挥10万吨级集装箱泊位在粤东区域的优势，满足干线班轮运营对船型和靠泊的需求。同时，也标志着广澳港区外贸集装箱业务处理能力得到大幅提升，将吸引更多高质量的外贸班轮航线到广澳港区挂靠。
