As a key project in Shantou City, the second phase project of the main venue of the Asian Youth Games will become an important residential and living area for athletes participating in the Asian Youth Games as well as teachers and students of the East Campus of Shantou University. At present, all the 10 main individual buildings of the project have entered the main construction stage, and the main structure of the 10-story No. 6 building has been the first to top out. Construction personnel are striving to speed up the construction progress, so that the main structure of all buildings can top out by the end of July.

The second-phase project of the venue of the Asian Youth Games covers an area of about 330 mu, and the specific projects include the construction of buildings, bridges and roads, and river reinforcement projects. The total construction area of the project is about 153,400 square meters, and a total of 14 individual buildings are planned to be built, including 10 dormitory buildings, 3 canteens and 1 substation. For the dormitory buildings, 3,511 dormitory rooms are planned to be built and used as the athletes' village during the Asian Youth Games. After the Asian Youth Games, they will be used as the living area of the East Campus of Shantou University, which can accommodate about 10,000 students.

第三届亚青会运动员村7月底前全面封顶

　　作为汕头市重点项目，亚青会主场馆二期将成为参与亚青会的运动员以及汕大东校区师生的重要居住生活区。目前，项目10栋主要单体建筑均已进入主体施工阶段，其中10层楼高的6号楼主体结构已率先完成封顶。施工人员正抢抓工期，争取7月底前所有建筑的主体结构完成封顶。

　　亚青会场馆二期项目占地面积约330亩，建设内容包括建筑、桥梁、道路和河涌固化等工程。项目总建筑面积约15.34万平方米，共规划建设14栋单体建筑，包括10栋宿舍楼、3座食堂和1座变电所。其中规划建设宿舍3511间，亚青会期间将作为运动员村，亚青会结束后将作为汕头大学东校区的生活区，可容纳学生约1万人。
