Recently, the municipal government issued the "Shantou Patent Support Funds Regulations", which will take effect on July 1, 2020.

The "Regulations" divides patent support funds into development funds, subsidy funds and incentive funds according to the nature and use of funds. In view of the continuous expansion and extension of the intellectual property field in recent years, intellectual property investment and financing, patent insurance, overseas rights protection, Intellectual property rights analysis and evaluation are newly added into it; though integration  and improvement of the supporting awarding policies and measures for the original China Patent Award and Guangdong Patent Award in our city, supporting awards for the China Patent Silver Award, the China Appearance Design Silver Award and the Guangdong Patent Silver Award are newly added.

The introduction of the "Regulations" will play an active role in using the intellectual property system to stimulate innovation, comprehensively promoting the construction of a leading national intellectual property demonstration city as well as serving the high-quality development of Shantou's economy and construction of the provincial sub-center.

　　汕头出台专利扶持资金管理办法

　　近日，市政府印发《汕头市专利扶持资金管理办法》，自2020年7月1日起施行。

　　《办法》根据资金的性质和用途，将专利扶持资金分为发展资金、资助资金和奖励资金；针对近年来知识产权领域不断拓展和延伸，新增了知识产权投融资、专利保险、海外维权、知识产权分析评议等内容；对我市原有中国专利奖和广东省专利奖的配套奖励政策措施进行整合和完善，新增了中国专利银奖、中国外观设计银奖、广东专利银奖的配套奖励。

　　《办法》的出台，将在运用知识产权制度激励创新、全面推动引领型国家知识产权示范城市建设、服务汕头经济高质量发展和省域副中心建设等方面发挥积极作用。
