On July 26, as the 24-storey No. 8 doctoral dormitory building was successfully capped, the 10 dormitories of the East Campus of Shantou University and the Asian Youth Games Venue Project (Phase II) were all capped one week in advance. After that, all the buildings successively entered into brickwork and decoration construction stage.

According to Shantou University East Campus and Asian Youth Game Venue Project (Phase II), 14 single buildings were to be constructed, including 10 dormitory buildings for undergraduates, postgraduates, doctoral students and international students, 3 canteens and 1 substation, outdoor facilities such as landscape, roads and squares. After completion, the project will serve as an athletes' village during the Asian Youth Games. It will, after the event, be utilized as a living area for students on the East Campus of Shantou University, composed of 3,511 dormitories that can accommodate 10,000 students.

第三届亚青会运动员村宿舍楼提前封顶

　　7月26日，随着24层高的8号博士生宿舍楼顺利封顶，汕头大学东校区暨亚青会场馆项目（二期）10栋宿舍楼提前一周全部封顶，各楼栋陆续转入砌体及装饰装修施工阶段。

  汕头大学东校区暨亚青会场馆项目（二期）共规划建设14栋单体建筑，包括供本科生、硕士生、博士生和留学生居住的10栋宿舍楼，3座食堂和1座变电所，以及景观、道路广场等室外配套。项目建成后，在亚青会赛时作为运动员村，赛后作为汕大东校区学子的生活区，宿舍3511间，可容纳学生1万名。
