Guanhua Palace is a well-known "garden in the park" in the Zhongshan Park of our city. It is situated on the west side of the memorial archway in Zhongshan Park, covering an area of about 11,000 square meters. The bonsai, tropical plants and exotic flowers displayed in it has been widely praised all the time. Due to historical and natural disasters and other reasons, the buildings and facilities in the Guanhua Palace were greatly damaged that it has been closed for many years. In the past few days, through nearly five months of maintenance and reinforcement, the Guanhua Palace has been restored and reopened to the public with a new look.
There is no lack of innovation and local characteristics in the Guanhua Palace. It not only inherits the distinctive features of Lingnan garden of being lightsome, small in size and exquisite in decoration, but also is partially innovative. Opposite scenery, view borrowing, and embellishing scenery and other gardening techniques are adopted in the palace to bring a comfortable and cozy tour experience for the citizens and tourists.
