On August 16, as the end of the three-and-a-half months of fishing moratorium in the South China Sea, 1,196 fishing boats in the city vied with each other to set sail to catch the first net of fat fish and shrimps after the "vacation".

In the morning of the day, many fishing boats were moving back and forth at the Dahao Central Fishing Port to test whether the fishing boats could operate normally, thus ensuring that the fishing boats could go out to sea smoothly at any time. On the boats, some fishermen were carrying all kinds of fishing gear, some were carrying the broken ices into the cabin by a relay, and others were calibrating the instruments on their boats, showing a busy scene of preparation for production on the sea.

At 12:00 pm, as soon as the "Fishing Starting Order" was issued, groups of boats at all the fishing ports rushed towards the fishing areas in a flash. The trawlers "starting fishing" in the fishing areas of our city usually return in 4 days, but some gill net and purse net fishing boats can return to the ports within two days. As the boats "starting fishing" return to the ports one after another, the citizens will be able to taste fresh seafood at a reasonable price.

南海伏季休渔结束，汕头各渔港陆续迎来首批返港渔船

8月16日，随着南海伏季休渔三个半月结束，全市1196艘渔船竞先扬帆出海，争捞“休假”后第一网肥鱼美虾。

当天上午，在达濠中心渔港，不少渔船在休渔区港湾内来回穿梭，试验渔船运行是否正常，确保渔船可随时顺利出海。渔船上，渔民有的搬运各式渔具，有的接力将碎冰搬进舱，有的校正渔船上的仪器，一派出海生产前紧张准备的繁忙景象。

  中午12时，“开捕令”一下，各地渔港上霎时群船竞相向渔区进发。我市各渔区“开捕”的拖网渔船一般4天后才回来，但刺网和围网的渔船较快的两天内就可返港，随着“开捕”渔船相继返港，市民将可尝到物美价廉的生猛海鲜了。
