At 9:50 on the morning of August 22, as the last piece of precast beam dropped to the design elevation safely and steadily, the Rongjiang Grand Bridge was entirely completed.

The Chaoshan Ring Expressway is an busy line in the main skeleton network of the expressways of "ten vertical, five horizontal and two rings" in our province and also an important ring road in the road network planning of Shantou, Chaozhou and Jieyang, with the total length of about 84.6 kilometers. Among them, the Rongjiang Grand Bridge, connecting Xilu of Chaoyang to the south and linking Liantang section of Daxue Road on National Highway 324 to the North, is the bridge which is the most difficult in construction and the most urgent in the time limit in the entire project.

After the completion of the Rongjiang Grand Bridge of Chaozhou-Shantou Ring Expressway, it will facilitate the people in Shantou, Chaozhou and Jieyang for travelling, further optimize the layout of the expressway network in eastern Guangdong, promote the construction of the collection, distribution and transportation channels of the transportation hubs(such as Chaoshan Airport, Shantou Port and Chaoshan Station of Xiamen-Shenzhen High-speed Railway) and consummate the regional comprehensive transportation system. This is of great significance to boost the urban integration of Shantou, Chaozhou and Jieyang and the development of the metropolitan circle.

潮汕环线榕江特大桥全桥贯通

8月22日上午9时50分，随着最后一片预制梁安全平稳落至设计标高，榕江特大桥全桥贯通。

潮汕环线高速公路是我省“十纵五横两环”高速公路主骨架网中的加密线，也是汕潮揭三市公路网规划的重要环线，项目全长约84.6公里。其中，南接潮阳西胪、北联国道324线大学路莲塘段的榕江特大桥，是整个项目施工难度最大、工期最紧的一座特大桥。

  潮汕环线高速公路榕江特大桥建成后，将方便沿线汕、潮、揭三市群众的交通出行，进一步优化粤东地区高速公路网布局，加强潮汕机场、汕头港以及厦深高铁潮汕站等综合交通枢纽的集疏运通道建设，完善区域综合交通运输体系，对促进汕潮揭同城化、都市圈发展具有重要的意义。
