Recently, the "Electronic Information" group final of the 2020 Guangdong College & University Science and Technology Achievement Transformation Roadshow Competition has been held in Foshan. Twelve teams from Shantou University, Sun Yat-sen University, Shenzhen University, Southern University of Science and Technology and other universities entered the final of the "Electronic Information" group after the preliminary competition. Through participating team roadshows, on-site questioning by the judges and on-site scoring, Shantou University's "intelligent on-line repair robot for heat distribution pipeline" project won the third place in the final, marking the successful research and development of the country's first "intelligent on-line repair robot for heat distribution pipeline".   

The country's first intelligent on-line repair robot for heat distribution pipeline, jointly developed by Shantou University and Huaneng Shantou Haimen Power Plant, is capable of performing dangerous leak plugging tasks under pressure on site, which requires manual operation previously. The robot can also remedy economic losses and bring increasing benefits for thermal power plants. Many investment companies and robot development companies have expressed their interest in the project results.

全国首台“热力管道在线智能修复机器人”汕头制造

日前，2020广东高校科技成果转化路演大赛“电子信息”小组决赛在佛山举办。来自汕头大学、中山大学、深圳大学、南方科技大学等高校的12支团队经过初赛，进入“电子信息”小组决赛。通过参赛团队路演、评委现场提问及现场打分三个环节，汕头大学的“热力管道在线智能修复机器人”项目在决赛中获得第三名，同时标志着全国首台“热力管道在线智能修复机器人”研发成功。

  汕头大学和华能汕头海门电厂联合开发的全国首台热力管道在线智能修复机器人，可以代替人工在现场执行危险的带压堵漏任务，还能为热电厂挽回经济损失和带来效益的提升。该项目的成果吸引了多家投资公司和机器人开发公司关注。
