In an effort to accelerate the conservation and vitalization of historical and cultural streets in the Small Park, and to activate the festival cultural atmosphere in the Small Park area, a series of National Day & Mid-Autumn Festival carnival activities, sponsored by Shantou Municipal Bureau of Culture, Radio, Television, Tourism and Sports and the People's Government of Jinping District and planned by Shenzhen Overseas Chinese Town Cultural Tourism Town Development Co. Ltd., will be held in the Small Park from September 28 to October 31.

This event is mainly themed by "a century-old foreign building, intangible cultural heritage of craftsmanship, Chaoshan cuisine, and vogue entertainment". To match these, the environment and atmosphere of the whole street have been recreated through landscape decoration, themed cultural walls, delicate sculptures, antique carriages, post boxes, telephone booths, etc. In addition, all kinds of artistic performances blending tradition with fashion will continue to be staged, covering Chaozhou opera, lion dance, acrobatics, street dance, band performance, magic show, etc. Apart from the entertainment, the event also introduces characteristic intangible cultural heritage merchants, catering to the citizens who love shopping. By then, the landmark of the Small Park will incorporate various elements such as intangible cultural heritage, cultural creation, delicious food, folklore, etc., to create a colorful National Day & Mid-Autumn Festival Carnival for citizens and tourists.

汕头小公园国庆中秋嘉年华系列活动9月28日开幕

为加快推动小公园历史文化街区保育活化，活跃小公园区域节日文化氛围，由汕头市文化广电旅游体育局、金平区人民政府主办，深圳华侨城文旅小镇发展有限公司策展的国庆中秋嘉年华系列活动将于9月28日至10月31日在小公园举行。

  本次活动主要围绕“百年洋楼、非遗匠作、潮汕美食、时尚潮玩”四大主题,通过景观装饰、主题文化墙、雕塑小品、仿古马车、邮筒、电话亭等对整个街区进行环境氛围营造。此外，各种传统与时尚结合的文艺演出将持续上演，内容涵盖潮剧、舞狮、杂技、街舞、乐队、魔术……除了可逛可玩，活动还引入特色非遗商家，满足喜欢购物的市民游客。届时，小公园这一地标将融入非遗、文创、美食、民俗等多种元素，为市民游客打造一个多姿多彩的国庆中秋嘉年华。
