Ocean is a strategic spot for high-quality development. Earnestly relying on abundant marine resources, Shantou is engaged in vigorously fostering marine economy and framing a sound modern marine industry system, which stimulates the "blue momentum" of economic development and accelerates the forming of a main battlefield of industrial development of east coastal economic belt.

In recent years, Shantou has made great efforts to develop marine aquaculture, stabilized the offshore fishing industry, actively developed standardized healthy farming, and unceasingly optimized the fishery industry structure. It has shown a picture of increasing fishing effect, raising fishermen's income and a stable fishing area.

Relying on Shanghai Electric Guangdong Shantou Offshore Wind Power Intelligent Manufacturing Center and Offshore Wind Power Industry Alliance, our city strives to build a whole industrial chain wind power industry base. Moreover, it will cultivate and develop marine strategic emerging industries such as marine energy, marine engineering equipment and marine biomedicine, so as to continuously stimulate new driving forces for marine economic development.

Our city takes the initiative to integrate resources for the development of the marine tourism industry. Currently, as the only National 4A Scenic Spot in 14 island counties (districts) in China, Nan'ao County has attracted a steady stream of tourists from home and abroad. Our city will further guide the integrated development of the marine tourism industry, and focus on promoting the construction of a city with marine cultural characteristics, the development of marine tourism products and sea tour routes, the growth of marine innovation industry, the marine tourism equipment manufacturing, the leisure fishery tourism, and the marine public art design, forming an industrial chain of marine economy.

汕头加快推进东翼沿海经济带产业发展

海洋是高质量发展战略要地，汕头紧紧依托丰富海洋资源，大力发展海洋经济，建立健全现代海洋产业体系，激发经济发展的“蓝色动能”，加快打造东翼沿海经济带产业发展的主战场。

近年来，我市大力发展海水养殖业，稳定近海捕捞业，积极发展标准化健康养殖，不断优化渔业产业结构，实现了渔业增效、渔民增收、渔区稳定的发展局面。

我市依托上海电气广东海上风电智能制造及海上风电产业联盟，全力打造全产业链风电产业基地。此外，还将培育发展海洋能源、海洋工程装备、海洋生物医药等海洋战略性新兴产业，不断激发海洋经济发展新动能。

  我市积极整合资源发展海洋旅游产业。作为目前全国14个海岛县（区）中唯一的全岛域国家4A级旅游景区，南澳县吸引了络绎不绝的国内外游客。接下来，我市将引导海洋旅游产业融合发展，重点推进海洋文化特色城市建设、海洋旅游产品开发、海洋创新产业发展、海上游览路线开发、海洋旅游装备制造、休闲渔业旅游、海洋公共艺术设计，形成海洋经济产业链。
