On November 15, "the 30th Anniversary of Chaoshan Cultural Research Center of Shantou University and the 1st High-end Academic Forum on Chaoshan History and Culture" were held in Shantou University. Renowned scholars from research communities of overseas Chinese people in China and international Chaozhou studies gathered together to conduct an in-depth discussion on "Chaoshan Overseas Chinese Culture and Its Modern Significance".

The high-end academic forum is aimed at promoting the academic development of the historical and cultural studies on Chaoshan and Overseas Chinese. At the same time, it is also a review of the past 30 years of the Chaoshan Cultural Research Center of Shantou University, further looking forward to the future, and enhancing academic research and cultural communication to service the Chaoshan local society, the overseas Chinese and the national development strategy.

首届潮汕历史文化高端学术论坛在汕头大学举行

11月15日，“汕头大学潮汕文化研究中心成立30周年活动暨首届潮汕历史文化高端学术论坛”在汕大举行。来自各地中国华侨华人研究学界、国际潮学研究学界的著名学者共聚一堂，围绕“潮汕侨乡文化及其现代意义”展开深入研讨。

  举办本次高端学术论坛旨在推动潮汕历史文化研究、华侨历史文化研究的学术发展，同时也是回顾汕头大学潮汕文化研究中心30年来的历程，进一步展望未来，增强学术研究、文化传播等服务潮汕地方社会，服务华侨华人和国家发展战略。
