The Filming Crew of CCTV's "National Memory" Program Visited Shantou

From November 21 to 27, the filming crew of the "National Memory" program of the CRI Chinese Service of CCTV visited Shantou to shoot the documentary "Letters from Home Across Mountains and Oceans".

"Port" and "Hometown of Overseas Chinese" are imprints inscribed in the historical blood of Shantou, as well as the code for the 40-year development of Shantou Special Economic Zone. The documentary will use the World Memory Heritage "Overseas Chinese Remittance Archives" as a carrier to tell the little-known stories of correspondences between overseas Chinese and people at home. At the same time, through in-depth excavation and research on the history of Shantou’s opening as a port, the construction and development since the establishment of the special economic zone, as well as the history of the Chaoshan overseas Chinese caring about their homeland and supporting the construction of the motherland and hometown, to show the audience their spirit of trustworthiness, righteousness and patriotism. After the production of the documentary is completed, it will be broadcast globally on the "National Memory" program of the Chinese International Channel of CCTV.

央视《国家记忆》栏目摄制组走进汕头

      1121日至27日,中央广播电视总台华语环球节目中心《国家记忆》栏目摄制组来到汕头,对纪录片《跨越山海的家书》进行拍摄。

  “港口侨乡,是铭刻在汕头历史血脉中的印记,也是汕头经济特区40年发展的密码。纪录片将以世界记忆遗产侨批档案为载体,讲述鲜为人知的侨批故事。同时通过对汕头开埠历史、设立经济特区以来的建设发展情况,以及潮汕侨胞心系家国故土、支持祖国和家乡建设的历史进行深入挖掘与研究,向观众展示守信重义、爱国爱乡的华侨精神。纪录片制作完成后,将在中央电视台中文国际频道《国家记忆》栏目面向全球播出。
