On the afternoon of December 2, Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University, the first western medicine hospital in China, and Shantou Central Hospital held a cooperation signing and opening ceremony to jointly build "Eastern Guangdong Medical Center of Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University".

This cross-regional cooperation is an important measure for our city to promote the construction of high-level hospitals and build a regional medical high ground in eastern Guangdong. Next, Shantou Central Hospital will develop cutting-edge medical technology and build a high-level scientific research platform through 5 years of cooperation and establish a breast disease diagnosis and treatment center, urology, cardiovascular medicine, endocrinology, gastroenterology, gynecology and medical imaging and other advantageous departments. It will further improve the hospital’s medical technology level for solving difficult, complex and severe illnesses, as well as its ability to respond to public health emergencies, so that people in eastern Guangdong can enjoy the quality medical services of provincial hospitals at home.

中山大学孙逸仙纪念医院粤东医疗中心落户汕头市中心医院

  12月2日下午，我国第一家西医医院中山大学孙逸仙纪念医院与汕头市中心医院举行合作签约暨揭牌仪式，共同建设“中山大学孙逸仙纪念医院粤东医疗中心”。

  此次跨区域合作，是我市推动高水平医院建设和打造粤东区域医疗高地的重要举措。接下来，市中心医院将通过5年的合作共建，发展前沿医疗技术，建设高水平科研平台，形成乳腺疾病诊疗中心、泌尿外科、心血管内科、内分泌专科、消化病专科、妇科和医学影像科等优势学科群，进一步提高医院解决疑难复杂重症的医疗技术水平，以及突发公共卫生事件应急能力，让粤东地区群众在家门口就能享受到省级医院的优质医疗服务。
