On March 29, the Shantou-Shanwei High-speed Railway project, which has received much attention, ushered in a major engineering node - the shield machine "Yongping" of the control engineering Shantou Bay subsea tunnel started excavation, marking China's first large-diameter sea crossing high-speed railway tunnel with design speed of 350 km/h has entered the stage of shield construction. The shield machine will pass through the sea from north to south, and finally reach the sea area near Mayu Island, realizing the connection with the construction section of the tunnel mining method.

　　汕头湾海底隧道盾构机始发掘进

　　3月29日，备受关注的汕汕铁路项目迎来重大工程节点——控制性工程汕头湾海底隧道“永平号”盾构机始发掘进，标志着我国首座设计时速350公里大直径穿海高铁隧道进入盾构施工阶段。盾构机将自北向南，穿海而过，最后到达妈屿附近海域，实现与隧道矿山法施工段的贯通对接。
