From May 25 to 26, 34 representatives of foreign consulates in Guangzhou and some reporters from foreign news agencies in Guangdong visited Shantou, attended the Shantou Investment Environment Promotion and Exchange Conference hosted by Shantou Municipal Government, and worked together with the representatives of the enterprises in Shantou for business opportunities and common development.
During their stay in Shantou, the Consular Corps in Guangzhou visited the exhibition hall of Shantou urban development and industry, the planning exhibition hall of overseas Chinese pilot zone, and the historical and cultural district of Small Park. They also visited Shantou Institute of Ultrasonic Instruments Co., Ltd. and Guangdong Alpha Animation and Culture Co. Ltd., and had face-to-face exchanges with the representatives of these enterprises. During their visit and investigation, they developed a deep understanding of Shantou's cultural heritage as well as basic situation and achievements of industrial planning and construction and independent innovation of enterprises.
At the Shantou Investment Environment Promotion and Exchange Conference,which was held on May 26, the relevant departments of Shantou City publicized the investment environment of Shantou City, and the representatives of the enterprises in Shantou shared their experiences. The representatives of the Consular Corps in Guangzhou said that the officers of the consulates would further play the role of pulling strings, enhance the friendship between Shantou and other countries, expand the economic, trade and cultural exchanges between Shantou and other countries, and lay a solid foundation for win-win cooperation in the future.

外国驻穗领团访问汕头
5月25日至26日，34位外国驻穗领馆代表及部分外国驻粤新闻机构记者走进汕头参观访问，并参加由汕头市政府主办的汕头投资环境推介交流会，与我市企业代表共寻商机、共谋发展。
在汕期间，外国驻穗领团参观了汕头城市发展与产业展示厅、华侨试验区规划展示馆和小公园历史文化街区，并前往汕头超声仪器研究所股份有限公司、广东奥飞动漫文化股份有限公司与企业进行面对面交流，在参观考察中深入了解汕头文化底蕴、产业规划建设和企业自主创新等方面的基本情况及取得的成绩。
在5月26日举行的汕头投资环境推介交流会上，我市有关部门就汕头投资环境作宣传推介，我市企业代表在会上作经验交流。外国驻穗领团代表表示，将进一步发挥领事官员牵线搭桥的作用，增进汕头与各国的友谊，扩大汕头与各国的经贸文化交流，为未来合作共赢打下坚实基础。
