Recently, the Department of Culture and Tourism of Guangdong Province announced a new group of provincial-level tourism resorts, and seven entities in Guangdong Province, including Shantou Nan'ao Island Coastal Tourism Resort, were on the list.

Nan'ao Island Coastal Tourism Resort is endowed with beautiful natural scenery, blue sea, green island and golden sand, which constitute unique mountain and sea wonders. In addition to complete infrastructure, the transportation, accommodation, cultural and sports facilities in the Resort are being constantly improved. Nan'ao Island has laid a solid foundation for tourism development. The 68-kilometer round-the-island highway, known as the most beautiful tourism highway in Guangdong, links all scenic spots into a string of pearls, forming a convenient traffic network. With marine tourism facilities and sightseeing routes, the Resort is the best destination for tourists to enjoy pleasure on the sea. With the rapid development of large hotels and family-run high-quality lodging, the degree of standardization of family-run lodging continues to improve. Culture and tourism support each other, complement each other's advantages and advance together to form new development advantages and growth areas, releasing new driving forces.
