Recently, Chaoshan Historical and Cultural Expo Center  (hereinafter referred to as the "Center"), located in Binhai New Town, Haojiang District, Shantou City, passed the check and acceptance upon completion, which will gradually become a spotlight of public attention.

At the gate of the Center, two sculptures Shuanghua Yingri (double flower reflecting the sun), named after the kingcup and orchid, stand on both sides of the gate symmetrically, as an auspicious and beautiful symbol of welcoming visitors and seeing them off. When you enter the Center, you can see a naturally stretched and well-arranged wavy platform forming around the hall Time Tunnel. What catches your eyes is that there is a huge red head boat embedded in the hall, which is magnificent. This is also the symbol of Chaoshan people's spirit of unremittingly pursuing self-renewal, which is handed down from one generation to the next. As a complex for Chaoshan culture exhibition and exchange, the Center has a static thematic expo space on the east side and a dynamic public art exhibition space on the west side. It consists of the art museum, intangible cultural heritage museum, overseas Chinese museum, and urban planning museum, as well as the conference center, multi-function hall, international exchange center and general pavilion. In the future, the Center will become an exhibition window of Chaoshan culture such as history, tradition, folk custom and arts and crafts, an important carrier of inheriting and developing Chaoshan regional characteristic culture, and an art palace of Chaoshan intangible cultural heritage.

潮汕历史文化博览中心通过竣工验收

近日，位于我市濠江区滨海新城的潮汕历史文化博览中心通过竣工验收，将逐渐走进大众视野。

  在潮博中心的大门口，以金凤花与兰花命名的“双花映日”两座雕塑对称侍立门户双侧，作为迎来送往吉祥美好的象征。走进潮博中心，围绕“时光隧道”大厅形成了自然舒展、错落有致的波浪形平台，令人眼前一亮的是，大堂内嵌了一艘巨型红头船，蔚为壮观，而这也是潮汕人薪火相传自强不息的精神象征。作为潮汕文化展示交流综合体，潮博中心东侧为静态的主题性博览空间、西侧为动态的公共艺术展览空间，设有美术馆、非遗馆、华侨馆、城市规划馆等，配套会议中心、多功能厅、对外交流中心和通用馆。未来，这里将成为潮汕历史、传统、民俗及工艺美术等潮汕文化的展示窗口，传承和发展潮汕地域特色文化的重要载体和潮汕非物质文化遗产的艺术殿堂。
