Recently, the preparations for the ancient costume film Xia Yulai, with the theme of Chaoshan folk legend Xia Yulai, were officially launched. It is planned to start to shoot the film in November this year, all the settings of which will be taken from Chaoshan area. The film is planned to be released in national cinemas in the summer of 2022.

In the 1990s, the Xia Yulai series of TV dramas in Teochew dialect were well-known to every household in the Chaoshan area. Xia Yulai was resourceful and courageous, championed the cause of justice, punished the evil and praised the good. The humorous performance has become an indelible common memory of Teochew people. The film will reproduce Xia Yulai’s true qualities of championing the cause of justice as well as punishing the evil and praising the good, fully demonstrate Chaoshan regional culture, and strive to create an excellent film in Teochew dialect.

　　电影《夏雨来》启动筹备

　　近日，以潮汕民间传奇人物“夏雨来”为题材的古装电影《夏雨来》正式启动筹备。电影拟定于今年11月开机，并全程在潮汕地区取景拍摄，计划于2022年暑期档在全国电影院公映。

　　上世纪90年代，《夏雨来》系列潮语电视剧在潮汕地区可谓家喻户晓，“夏雨来”机智勇敢，爱打抱不平、惩恶扬善，诙谐幽默的表演成了潮汕人无法抹去的共同记忆。影片将再现“夏雨来”打抱不平、惩恶扬善的本色，充分展示潮汕地域文化，全力打造优秀潮语电影。
