In April this year, the Shantou Municipal People’s Government and the National Academy of Chinese Theatre Arts signed a strategic cooperation agreement to jointly operate the first full-time undergraduate program of Chaozhou Opera of the National Academy of Chinese Theatre Arts. On August 31, the first 28 students of Chaozhou opera in the undergraduate program flied to Beijing to formally start a new journey of receiving "Chinese classic opera" education.

The undergraduate program of Chaozhou opera adopts the new idea of "collaborative cooperation, collaborative training", and explores the new model of "school + base". Shantou teaching practice bases of the National Academy of Chinese Theatre Arts have been established in Guangdong Chaozhou Theater and Shantou Culture and Art School. The teaching arrangement for the full-time undergraduate program will be "2+1+1", representing 2 years of class at the National Academy of Chinese Theatre Arts, 1 year of internship in the practice bases in Shantou, and 1 year for creating and rehearsing the opera and completing the thesis for graduation, for the purpose of building a platform for opera talent training, inheritance and innovation, and creative practice and providing an innovative example for opera talent training in the new era.

　　中国戏曲学院首个全日制潮剧本科班开学

　　今年4月，汕头市政府与中国戏曲学院签署战略合作协议，合办中国戏曲学院首个全日制潮剧本科班。8月31日，本科班首批28名潮剧学员乘机前往北京，正式开启“国戏”求学新征程。

　　潮剧本科班采取“协同合作，协同培养”新思路，探索“学校+基地”新模式，在广东潮剧院、汕头文化艺术学校设立中国戏曲学院汕头教学实践基地，并按照全日制本科班“2+1+1”教学安排，2年在中国戏曲学院上课，1年在汕头实践基地实习，1年创排毕业大戏和完成毕业论文，搭建戏曲人才培养、传承创新、创作实践平台，为新时代戏剧人才培养提供创新样本。
