Recently, the "Voice Atlas in Min Dialect of Eastern Guangdong" co-authored by Lin Chunyu, associate professor of Guangdong Polytechnic Normal University, and Gan Yuen, professor of Jinan University, was published by China Social Sciences Press. This is a professional atlas on the voice feature distribution of Min dialect of eastern Guangdong. It is not only the result of geographic typological research on the voice of Min dialect of eastern Guangdong, but also the first voice atlas based on a systematic study of the three major dialects of Guangdong (Chaoshan dialect, Cantonese, and Hakka).

The Min dialect of eastern Guangdong is commonly referred to as the Chaoshan dialect. Because it retains the important characteristics of ancient Chinese, it has always been valued by many scholars. This work took 10 years to complete and made up for the shortcomings in the study of Guangdong Min dialect in geographic linguistics, especially dialect mapping.

　　广东东部闽方言首部语音地图集出版

　　近日，由广东技术师范大学副教授林春雨与暨南大学教授甘于恩合著的《广东东部闽方言语音地图集》由中国社会科学出版社出版。这是一本关于广东东部闽方言语音特征分布的专业地图集，是对广东东部闽方言语音进行地理类型学研究的成果呈现，也是系统研究广东三大方言（潮汕话、粤语、客家话）的第一部语音地图集。

　　广东东部闽方言，就是通常所说的潮汕方言，因其保留着古汉语的重要特点，一直以来受到许多学者的重视。该部著作历时10年完成，弥补了广东闽方言研究在地理语言学，特别是方言地图绘制方面的缺憾。
