After 40 years of sound development and continuous innovation, Shantou's toy industry is thriving, and Shantou has become one of the three major production bases of craft toys in China. In Shantou’s new industrial landscape of "Three New, Two Special and One Big" (“Three New” refers to the three industries: new energy, new materials and new generation electronic information; “Two Special” refers to the two traditional specialty industries: textile and clothing, and creative toys; and “One Big” refers to the big health industry), the creative toy industry is listed as one of the two specialty industries, and it is stated that Shantou will focus on Chenghai District to implement the pilot of digital transformation of industrial clusters, pool the strengths of backbone enterprises such as Aofei Entertainment and Xinghui Entertainment, give full play to the functions of Baoao City, science and innovation centers, toy exhibition halls and toy associations, and focus on strengthening the areas of weakness in R & D and design and solving such problems as insufficient supply of local high-quality raw materials, create first-class IPs, promote the integration of craft toys and digital creativity, develop new business forms of cross-field integration of multiple industries, and foster industries such as "Toys + IPs and Derivatives", "Toys + Digital Creativity", and "Toys + Smart Manufacturing". In the next five years, Shantou's creative toy industry is expected to become a CNY-50-billion industry.

　　汕头培育壮大玩具创意产业

　　经过四十年的雄厚积淀和不断创新，汕头玩具产业蓬勃发展，成长为中国工艺玩具三大生产基地之一。在我市“三新两特一大”新产业布局中，玩具创意产业被列为两个特色产业之一，明确以澄海区为重点实施产业集群数字化转型试点，集中奥飞娱乐、星辉娱乐等骨干企业优势，发挥宝奥城、科创中心、玩具展厅、玩具协会功能，重点解决研发设计环节薄弱、本地高质量原材料供应不足等问题，打造一流IP，推进工艺玩具与数字创意融合，发展跨界融合新业态，培育壮大“玩具+IP及衍生品”“玩具+数字创意”“玩具+智能制造”等产业。未来五年，汕头玩具创意产业可望打造成为500亿产业。
