On the afternoon of November 21, the 40th General Assembly of the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA) was held in Dubai, UAE. The Shantou executive committee of the Asian Youth Games (AYG) was invited to attend the General Assembly online and report on the process of preparations.

The AOC fully affirmed the stages results achieved in the preparations for the Shantou AYG.The Shantou AYG Organizing Committee stated that it would, with higher quality and wider vision, give full play to the urban effect brought by the AYG, continue to strengthen communication and engagement with the AOC, Asian (International) individual sports organizations and Olympic committees, promote competition registration according to time nodes, solidly promote the preparations for large-scale events, such as the general meeting of the heads of delegations, a series of test activities and opening and closing ceremonies, further improve the effectiveness of media and publicity and market development, continue to expand the influence of the AYG, and strive to contribute a youth event, cultural event and sports event to the world.

The General Assembly also announced that Phnom Penh, Cambodia, would have the right to host the Fifth Asian Youth Games in 2029, and it decided that the 41st General Assembly of the Olympic Council of Asia would be held in Hangzhou.

　　亚青会汕头市执委会应邀参加亚奥理事会

　　第40届全体大会线上会议

　　11月21日下午，亚奥理事会第40届全体大会在阿联酋迪拜市举行，亚青会汕头市执委会应邀在线参加此次大会并作筹备进展情况报告。

　　亚奥理事会充分肯定汕头亚青会筹备工作取得的阶段性成果。组委会表示，接下来将以更高质量、更宽视野，发挥赛会带来的城市效应，继续加强与亚奥理事会、亚洲（国际）各单项体育组织和各奥委会的沟通对接，按时间节点推进竞赛报名工作，扎实推进团长大会、系列测试活动和开闭幕式等大型活动筹备，进一步提升舆论宣传和市场开发成效，持续扩大亚青会的影响力，努力为全世界奉献一届青春盛会、文化盛会、体育盛会。

　　大会还宣布柬埔寨金边市获得2029年第五届亚青会的举办权，同时决定亚奥理事会第41届全体大会在杭州召开。
