Recently, CCTV reported that Chaoshan stewed beef meatballs, famous cuisine in China, were selected as the food for the Beijing Winter Olympic Games. The Shantou's Stewed Beef Meatballs Industry Association has stated that the stewed beef meatballs for the Beijing Winter Olympic Games are being produced and delivered in a full swing, and are expected to be served on the dining-tables for the athletes of the Beijing Winter Olympic Games soon.

At present, there are more than 3,000 large and small stewed beef meatball enterprises in Chaoshan, and the output value of Chaoshan local stewed beef meatballs and hot pot industry exceeds 10 billion. In the past two years, with the rapid development of Internet E-commerce and cold chain logistics, the beef balls with crispy ribs, local snacks, have been sold to all over China and even all parts of the world.

　　潮汕牛肉丸将上冬奥餐桌

　　随着北京冬奥会临近，冬奥餐饮工作也在陆续筹备中。近日，央视网报道，闻名全国的美食名片之一——潮汕牛肉丸入选冬奥会餐饮。汕头牛肉丸产业同业公会表示，为冬奥会供应的牛肉丸已经在赶制发货，预计很快就将被送上冬奥会运动员的餐桌。

　　目前潮汕大大小小的牛肉丸企业有3000多家，潮汕本地牛肉丸及火锅产业产值超100亿。近两年，随着互联网电商、冷链物流的迅速发展，筋道香脆的牛肉丸已经从本地小吃，卖向全国甚至远销海外。
