On the morning of January 18, the sports icons of the Shantou 2021 Asian Youth Games (hereinafter referred to as "Shantou 2021 AYG") were officially released. These are another important visual image elements launched by the Shantou 2021 AYG after the emblem, mascot, core graphics and color system.

The sports icons for the Shantou 2021 AYG include a total of 21 event sub-items, namely diving, swimming, water polo, athletics, badminton, basketball (basketball 3x3), dance sport (breaking), dragon boat, football, golf, gymnastics, handball, rugby (rugby sevens), sport climbing, surfing, table tennis, taekwondo, sailing (windsurfing), volleyball (beach volleyball), Sanda, and Taolu.

　　1月18上午，汕头2021亚青会体育项目运动图标正式发布，这是继会徽、吉祥物、核心图形与色彩系统之后，汕头2021亚青会推出的又一重要视觉形象元素。

　　汕头2021亚青会体育项目运动图标共包含21项竞赛分项，分别为跳水、游泳、水球、田径、羽毛球、篮球（三人篮球）、体育舞蹈（霹雳舞）、龙舟、足球、高尔夫球、体操、手球、橄榄球（7人制橄榄球）、攀岩、冲浪、乒乓球、跆拳道、帆船（帆板）、排球（沙滩排球）、散打、套路。
