The Ministry of Ecology and Environment of the People's Republic of China recently announced the excellent case studies on beautiful rivers, lakes and bays in 2021. "Shantou Qing'ao Bay" was included in "Excellent Case Studies on Beautiful Bays in China".

Located at the eastern end of Nan'ao Island, Shantou City, Qing'ao Bay is in the shape of a crescent moon, with a sandy coastline of 2.4 kilometers and a natural bathing beach. The average width of the beach is about 60 meters and the sand is fine and white. Qing'ao Bay is endowed with beautiful ecological environment, where is the habitat of dolphins, turtles, tachypleus tridentatus, nautilus and other rare marine organisms. It was approved as the National Ocean Park of China in 2014.

　　汕头青澳湾获评全国美丽海湾优秀案例

　　国家生态环境部近日公布2021年度美丽河湖、美丽海湾优秀案例，“汕头青澳湾”入选“全国美丽海湾优秀案例”。
　　青澳湾位于汕头市南澳岛东端，呈月眉型，拥有长2.4公里的砂质岸线和天然海滨浴场，沙滩平均宽度约60米，沙质细腻洁白，生态环境优美，是海豚、海龟、中国鲎、鹦鹉螺等珍稀海洋生物的栖息地，2014年获批国家级海洋公园。
