The 10th group of China (Guangdong) medical workers dispatched to Ghana, the integrated medical team established by the First Affiliated Hospital of Shantou University Medical College, arrived in Guangzhou safely on the early morning of March 12, thus returning to the embrace of the motherland. Complying with the requirements for COVID-19 prevention and control, the members of the medical team are now being quarantined and observed in a hotel in Guangzhou.

The 10th group of Chinese (Guangdong) medical workers dispatched to Ghana, a team consisted of 11 members, officially headed for Ghana against the COVID-19 on January 6, 2021, and carried out international medical aid there. This was also the first integrated team from Shantou City to perform foreign medical aid work. The team members carried out 430 days of medical rescue work in Ghana, performed a total of 1,410 operations, provided COVID-19 medical services for more than 8,000 people, provided outpatient and emergency medical services for more than 20,000 people, and provided online and offline guidance for overseas Chinese who were infected COVID-19. More than 3,000 COVID-19 patients were cured by them, and no deaths or serious complications occurred.

　　汕大医一附院援加纳医疗队平安回国

　　由汕头大学医学院第一附属医院整建制组建的中国（广东）第10批援加纳医疗队3月12日清晨平安落地广州，回到祖国的怀抱。因疫情防控需要，医疗队队员们现于广州酒店隔离观察。

　　中国（广东）第10批援加纳医疗队共11名队员，去年1月6日正式出征，远赴加纳开展国际医疗援助工作，这也是我市首支整建制组队执行援外医疗工作。队员们在加纳开展了430天的医疗救援工作，累计开展1410台手术，新冠医疗服务人次超8000人，门急诊医疗服务人次超2万人，线上线下指导受感染新冠华人华侨，治愈人数超3000人，无一例出现死亡或者严重并发症。
