On April 15, the Guangdong Provincial Conference on Scientific and Technological Innovation was held in Guangzhou. At the conference, the 2021 annual Guangdong Science and Technology Progress Award was presented. Shantou’s three projects won the Guangdong Science and Technology Progress Award, hitting a record high in terms of the total numbers of prizes and first prizes won. Among them, two projects, which were respectively led by Shantou Goworld Display Technology Co., Ltd. and Guangdong Guanghua Sci-Tech Co., Ltd., won the first prize; one project, which was led by Shantou University, won the second prize.

　　汕头3项目获广东省科学技术奖

　　4月15日，广东省科技创新大会在广州召开，会上颁发了2021年度广东省科学技术奖，我市3个项目获科技进步奖，获奖数量和获一等奖数量为历年来最高。其中，一等奖2项，牵头单位分别为汕头超声显示器技术有限公司、广东光华科技股份有限公司，二等奖1项，牵头单位为汕头大学。
