A Final Dash is Made for the Closure of Niutianyang Bridge in Shantou

On the morning of June 19, the double-segment steel truss girder of the mid-span cantilever of the main bridge of the Niutianyang Bridge, a key control project of Niutianyang Fast Track constructed by China Railway Major Bridge Engineering Group, was successfully hoisted, thus starting the homestretch for the single-segment closure at the end of June.


The main span of Niutianyang Bridge is 468 meters long in total. As the length of the cantilever continues to increase, the difficulty of erecting steel truss girders also increases. At present, the length of one side cantilever is 223 meters in length, and the total weight of the steel truss girders is 5,677 tons. After the double-segment steel truss girder of the mid-span cantilever of the main bridge has been successfully hoisted, the main bridge can be closed after the only remaining last mid-span steel box girder is hoisted. The length of the section to be closed is 21.76 meters.

  汕头牛田洋特大桥冲刺合龙

  6月19日上午,由中铁大桥局承建的牛田洋快速通道重点控制性工程——牛田洋特大桥主桥中跨悬臂双节段钢桁梁成功吊装,向6月底单节段合龙吊冲刺。

  牛田洋特大桥主跨共468米,随着悬臂长度不断增长,钢桁梁架设难度也随之增大。目前一侧悬臂长度达到223米,钢桁梁总重达5677吨。主桥中跨悬臂双节段钢桁梁成功吊装后,大桥合龙仅剩中跨最后一片钢箱梁吊装,即可实现主桥合龙,合龙段长21.76米。
