The East Campus of Shantou University will be opened this fall, and the 2022 cohort of undergraduates will be the first group of students to reside in the Campus. Currently, a final dash is being made to complete the Phase III Project of the East Campus of Shantou University, and more than 2,000 construction workers are vigorously advancing the construction of facade curtain walls, indoor electrical and mechanical installation, fine decoration, and outdoor landscaping. 

The Phase III Project of the East Campus of Shantou University, which is located in Tagangwei Area, East Coastal New Town, with a total construction area of about 239,000 square meters, can meet the needs of 10,000 students. It consists of public teaching and experimental buildings, administrative office buildings, libraries and learning centers, multi-function service centers, blocks of experimental schools and departments, south school gate, overseas Chinese museum exhibition hall, and more than 700 parking spaces, etc.

　　汕大东校区三期项目打响“收官战”

　　汕头大学东校区将于今年秋季启用，2022级本科生首批入驻。目前，三期项目已全面打响“收官战”，2000余名参建人员全力推进外立面幕墙、室内机电安装、精装修、室外园林绿化的施工。

　　位于东海岸新城塔岗围片区的汕头大学东校区三期项目，总建筑面积约23.9万平方米，可满足10000名学生使用需求，包含公共教学实验楼、行政办公楼、图书馆及学习中心、多功能服务中心、实验院系团组、南校门、华侨博物展示馆等，设停车位700余个。
