Recently, the first group of "Beautiful China Model Cities" was officially awarded, and Shantou was selected as one of the 30 "Beautiful China Model Cities".

The "Beautiful China Model Cities" publication is coordinated and produced by the Policy Research Center of China Construction News, the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development of the People's Republic of China. The selection indicators cover five major aspects, including city physical examination, sponge city, garden city, water-conserving city, and living environment. After initial evaluation, online voting, and the publicity for final evaluation results, the "Beautiful China Model Cities" were selected.

　　汕头荣获“中国美丽城市典范”

　　日前，首届《中国美丽城市》城市典范正式颁奖，汕头为入选的全国30座城市之一。

　　《中国美丽城市》城市典范由住建部中国建设报社政策研究中心统筹出品，评选指标涵盖城市体检、海绵城市、园林城市、节水型城市、人居环境五大方面，历经初评、网络投票、终评结果公示等环节最终产生。
