Recently, Asia's first 11 MW offshore wind turbine generator system was successfully hoisted at the Shantou base of Shanghai Electric Wind Power Group, and it was planned to be connected to the grid for power generation by the end of the month. This has opened a new chapter for China's offshore wind power market, and has also become a strong support for Shantou to accelerate the construction of an international wind power innovation hub. 

The EW11.0-208 generator system of the Petrel Platform, the wind turbine generator system which was hoisted at the Shantou base, is a better solution with higher capacity, larger wind turbines and higher power generation capacity that Shanghai Electric Wind Power Group has brought to China's offshore wind power market after years of intensive efforts in the design of generators and complete machines. When it was successfully rolled off the assembly line in September last year, the wind turbine generator system set a record for the largest direct-drive wind turbine generator system in Asia. This time, the Petrel Platform has carried out special research on generators to improve the electromagnetic torque density of generators; developed a new generation of generator water-cooling system, and greatly improved the operating efficiency and reliability of generators, so that the generators are more suitable for China offshore operating environment.

　　亚洲首台11兆瓦级别海上风电机组在汕成功吊装

　　近日，亚洲首台11兆瓦（MW）级别海上风电机组在上海电气风电集团汕头基地顺利完成吊装，并计划于月底并网发电。这为中国海上风电市场翻开了新篇章，也成为汕头加快建设国际风电创新港的强有力支撑。

　　此次在汕头基地吊装的机组——Petrel海燕平台EW11.0-208机组，是上海电气风电集团在发电机与整机设计方面深耕多年后，为中国海上风电市场带来的更大容量、更大风轮、更高发电量的更优解决方案，该机组去年9月成功下线时就创下亚洲最大直驱海上风电机组的记录。此次，Petrel海燕平台对发电机进行专题攻关，提高了发电机的电磁扭矩密度；开发了新一代的发电机水冷系统，大大提高了发电机的运行效率与可靠性，更好地适用于中国的海上运行环境。
